Author Bruce E. Mowday offers Christmas holiday specials;

Mowday has nine appearances scheduled in December

Book talks will be given on Lafayette and Johnston gang crimes

 

WEST CHESTER _ Author Bruce E. Mowday has scheduled nine appearances during the Christmas holiday season. He has autographed books available for purchase.

“My Lafayette, Gettysburg and Johnston gang books have extremely popular this year,” Mowday said. “The publishers have reordered printings of several of my books and they have been unavailable through some internet and book stores. I now have copies of my recent works.”

Mowday’s December schedules begins with being interviewed by Arch Hunter on December 1 for a history show on WFYL-AM 1180. The date the show will be aired has not been scheduled.

Also on December 1, Mowday will give a presentation before the West Chester Exchange Club at the West Chester Country Club on his new book, Small-Town Cops in the Crosshairs: The 1972 Sniper Slayings of Policemen William Davis and Richard Posey.

On December 2, Mowday will talk about Lafayette at Brandywine: The Making of an American Hero at the Right Angle Club in Philadelphia. On December 14, Mowday will give a Lafayette presentation at the Radnor Memorial Library beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Stealing Wyeth will be the subject of his presentation at the Mansion at Rosemont, Bryn Mawr, on December 8 at 2:00 p.m.

Mowday will also be signing his books at five locations during December. On December 3, Mowday will be at the Chadds Ford Historical Society from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. as the historical society is hosting the Brandywine River Museum’s critter sale. Mowday is joining Patriot Wines for a Pop-Up event at Work2gether, 120 State Street, Kennett Square, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Also, Mowday will take part in Historic Sugartown’s Holiday Biergarden from noon until 4:00 p.m.

Barnes & Noble, Exton, is hosting Mowday for book signings on December 17 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and on December 24 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
