DOWNINGTOWN _ Chester County author Bruce Mowday’s first talk of 2016 will take place at Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge, on the Battle of Brandywine.
The talk is part of the Friends of Valley Forge National Historical Park and Washington Memorial Heritage’s speaker series. The talk, open to the public at no charge, will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the chapel on Route 23, Valley Forge.
Mowday will give a talk on his book September 11, 1777: Washington’s Defeat at Brandywine Dooms Philadelphia. The book took more than five years to research, including a trip to London to review records in the British Public Records Office and the British Army Museum. He also wrote on Brandywine and Germantown for Reporting The Revolutionary War: Before It Was History It Was News.
Mowday is an author of more than 16 books on history, sports, business and true crime. He recently was featured on the Discovery ID channel and Mowday has appeared on C-SPAN, the Pennsylvania Cable Network and Philadelphia and local television shows.
