Barricade Books authorize second printing of Stealing Wyeth

August 12, 2019

Barricade Books of Fort Lee, N. J., has authorized a second printing of its just released book Stealing Wyeth by author Bruce E. Mowday.

The book was released last week and all of the copies were distributed.

“The pre-sale of Stealing Wyeth was amazing,” Mowday said. “This is my 20th book and the quickest the first run printing has been sold. I checked with Barnes & Noble last week and the company doesn’t have any books in its warehouses. Amazon sent out a notice that it can’t ship Stealing Wyeth until “September 6 to October 2.”

The book recounts the theft of 15 famous works of art worth millions of dollars from the estate of Andrew Wyeth. Seven of the paintings were by Andrew Wyeth, six of his son Jamie and the other two by other artists. The book details information about the Wyeth family, the theft, the criminals and the law enforcement team.

Stealing Wyeth appeals to a number of audiences,” Mowday. “Those who are fans of the Wyeth family and fine art is one group. The second is true crime aficionados. Some of the criminals were members of a gang that were chronicled in my book Jailing the Johnston Gang: Bringing Serial Murderers to Justice.”

For signed copies of Stealing Wyeth, contact Mowday at mowday@mowday.com or send a check for $28.00 (book and shipping and handling included) to Bruce Mowday, 168 West Norwalk Road, Norwalk, CT 06850.

The first signing of Stealing Wyeth, will take place on Saturday, August 17, at Kathy’s Corner Store in North East, Maryland, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

“I’m honored that Kathy Roff has invited me back to her store for another book signing,” Mowday said. “It is always a pleasure being at Kathy’s store at 100 South Main Street. This signing is special as it will be the first one with my new book.”

At noon on August 23 Mowday will be the featured speaker at the AuthorSpeak program at Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
